Dr. Omid Khaksarfard

Dr. Omid founded OMIRA on the belief that exceptional dentistry begins with exceptional hospitality. Over the past 14 years, his journey through both dentistry and hospitality has shaped a philosophy centered on one simple idea: every patient deserves to feel genuinely welcomed, heard, understood, and cared for. His vision was to create more than a dental practice. It was to create an experience where personalized relationships, comprehensive care, and genuine hospitality come together to help patients feel confident not only in their smiles, but in the care they receive.

Born in Toronto, Canada, he moved to the United States at the age of six. From the time he was in high school, he knew there was only one career he wanted to pursue: becoming a Doctor of Dental Medicine. That lifelong commitment led him to become the first doctor in his family.

He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he received the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry Student Award of Merit and completed the Advanced Selective Program in Periodontology. His commitment to lifelong learning continues through advanced continuing education at the world-renowned Kois Center, one of the leading institutions for evidence-based dentistry. This ongoing pursuit of knowledge allows him to provide patients with comprehensive, predictable, and personalized treatment founded on the latest scientific evidence.

Mission trips to Grenada and the Bahamas gave him the opportunity to provide dental care to underserved communities, experiences that further strengthened his passion for serving others through dentistry.

His philosophy of care extends far beyond treating teeth. It begins with caring for the individual. Every patient has unique goals, values, concerns, and life experiences that deserve to be understood before treatment begins. He believes meaningful care starts with listening, building trust, and understanding what matters most to each patient.

By taking the time to educate, collaborate, and develop personalized treatment plans, he empowers patients to make informed decisions that align with their goals, values, and long-term health. His clinical focus includes comprehensive treatment planning, oral surgery, implant dentistry, functional rehabilitation, and esthetic dentistry, all supported by advanced digital technology and modern systems designed to deliver precise, predictable, and long-lasting outcomes.

Outside of dentistry, he enjoys exploring North Carolina, traveling, experiencing different cultures, winter sports, spending time outdoors, and discovering new cuisines. He has a passion for cooking and believes that sharing great food is one of the best ways to experience different cultures and connect with others. Above all, he values building meaningful relationships within the community and giving back whenever he has the opportunity.
